Coming Out From the Shadows Ep 1: Triumph Daytona 955i
There are many great bikes that never received the credit they deserved. They were born in the wrong time and overshadowed by the latest, greatest, shiny new thing. Triumph’s Daytona 955i is case in point. It’s a fine motorcycle, but never had the power, or kudos of the Honda Fireblades, or Yamaha R1s of the day. But it’s matured like a fine British wine and makes more sense today than it ever did with its grunty engine, rasping soundtrack, neutral handling, comfy riding position and superb build quality. I speak to Sean Jarrett, the owner of this immaculate example to find out what it’s like to live with and take a glorious ride through the Suffolk countryside.
